Overview

Goyder North has Planning Consent for up to 135 wind turbines equivalent to approximately 1,000 MW of wind power and three standalone big batteries with a total storage capacity of up to 900 MW / 3,600 MWh.  

Currently, the focus is on progressing:

  • Goyder North Wind Farm, to be built in stages, with the first stage comprising of at least 300 MW expecting to commence construction in mid-2026.
  • The first standalone big battery called Goyder Battery with a minimum capacity of 200 MW / 800 MWh. This is located adjacent to ElectraNet’s Bundey Substation and is expected to commence construction in early 2026.
