Goyder Battery
Overview
Goyder Battery is a standalone big battery located within the Goyder South project area.
It will be constructed across at least 2 stages, with the first being 227 MW / 907 MWh. Remaining stages are under development.
Goyder Battery is located adjacent to ElectraNet’s Bundey Substation and is expected to commence construction in early 2026.

CONSTRUCTION PARTNERS
Neoen is the developer of the Goyder Renewable Energy Zone and the owner and operator of the projects.
For the Goyder Battery, our construction partners are Tesla and UGL.
Tesla is responsible for the manufacture, supply, and commissioning of the Megapack 3 battery units.
UGL is the balance-of-plant contractor, delivering the civil and electrical infrastructure required to support the project. This includes civil works, underground electrical infrastructure, and high-voltage infrastructure such as the substation and overhead transmission line.
