With construction of the Goyder Battery scheduled to commence in mid-2026, and the Goyder North Wind Farm anticipated to commence construction around the same time, planning is underway to identify local accommodation options that may be available to support a temporary construction workforce.

At this stage, an Expression of Interest (EOI) process is being run to identify accommodation that could be suitable for contractors and workers once construction begins. This information will be shared with project contractors when they are ready to secure accommodation.

While worker camps may be used where necessary, there is a strong preference for economic benefits to flow directly to local communities. Residents and businesses with a house, farmhouse, commercial operation, or other suitable dwelling available for short- or longer-term stays are encouraged to register their interest.
