Neoen acknowledges the Ngadjuri people, Traditional Owners of the land on which Goyder Renewables Zone will harvest and store the energy of the wind and sun. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Celebrating construction works at Goyder South Stage 1

Neoen was delighted to host South Australia’s Premier, Peter Malinauskas, and Energy Minister Tom Koutsantonis at the Goyder South Stage 1 project site on 25 August 2022.

With early works beginning in late-2022, this event celebrated the project progressing into construction phase.

The occasion was marked by a Welcome to Country by the Ngadjuri people (the Traditional Owners of the land on which Goyder South Stage 1 is located), and attendance from our landowners, the Goyder Regional Council representatives and key project stakeholders.

“The commencement of construction work on the Goyder South project is a significant moment for renewable energy in South Australia. Goyder South Stage 1 is the first part of Neoen’s Goyder Renewables Zone, wind, solar and storage. Goyder South has received development approval for a total of 1200 MW of wind generation, 600 MW of solar generation and 900 MW of battery storage capacity, making it the state’s largest renewable project.”
